Creme and Textured Chevrons

Here's some nail art I attempted a few days ago while I was having a great chilled out weekend. It's a dark green, with a gorgeous yellow-gold texture on top. I did chevrons using some nail vinyls from Vinyl Boutique.

This was a pretty simple process. I painted my thumb and ringfinger with 2 coats of Zoya - Solange and on the other fingers I painted 1 coat (and 2 where it was bald) of Mavala - Racing Green. Once I had watched a bit of TV and I knew the base layers were dry, I carefully applied the chevron vinyls in relatively even lines across my nails. I found they didn't want to stick to the texture of Solange, so I only did them on my index and pinky finger. I decided to leave my middle finger as it was to show off the dark green.

I tried to pull them off nicely, but if you look closely you'll see I mucked up a wee bit and got a bit smudgy. Oh well, like most art, nails are best viewed at a distance!
