About me

Hi everyone!

I'm Kelsie, a 23 year old girl living in a wee New Zealand city. New Zealand is not the Mecca that the US is for all things beauty, so we pay through our noses for nailpolish most of the time. It's an expensive addiction. I do my bestest not to buy dupes, or even similar polishes to something I already own, and if I do so accidentally I am sure to sell one. As a result my collection tends to sit around the 120-130 mark. Not too bad really.

I have recently gone cruelty free in most cosmetic aspects of my life, including my nailpolishes. As a result, I am slowly getting rid of my OPI, Sally Hansen, Maybelline, Sinful Colors, L'Oreal, Mode Cosmetics, Calvin Klein, Revlon, and NYC polishes (once I find cruelty free dupes for them, obviously). It's a slow process (and seems to be even harder with makeup, because if makeup doesn't go with your skin well you have to go through the testing process again with a new cruelty free option!)

I hate jelly polishes, and I am definitely not a big fan of polishes jam-packed with glitter. I AM a big fan of holographic polishes, and my (nearly complete) goal is to have a holo in every colour of the rainbow. How am I tracking...?

I acquired Glam Polish - Gliss to solve any future problems of finding a holo in every shade under the sun, as it functions best as a topcoat :D

I really doubt my love for nailpolish will ever stop. It'd be interesting if it did with me having started this blog, and being subscribed to reddit lacqueristas, and joining the NZ Polish Addicts group on Facebook! Enablers everywhere.
