First attempt with Striping Tape!

All the girls on reddit are pretty good with their striping tape, and I've always thought the designs they made were so cool, so I bought myself ten rolls of striping tape.
After work on Friday night I sat at my parents' house and attempted to do this.

I painted all my nails with two coats of LA Girl - Sensation and did a ringfinger accent nail with two coats of Australis - Sky's the Limit. On my thumbs I did about 4 coats of a Coral Colours glitter that doesn't have a tag any more, but is packed with holographic purple and silver and blue glitter. Amazing.

Once all these were dried, I applied striping tape in various designs and painted the opposite colour to the base colour. (Blue on pink, pink on blue.) This is very time consuming, and I think the easiest way to take the tape off without those annoying streaky bits is to take it off in the reverse order you put it on your nail. (Last to go on is first to come off.)
I gave up after four nails, so on my ringfinger and pinky I just left the tape on my fingers and put a topcoat on.

Striping tape is pretty invisible on a glitter-bomb nail. Stick with cremes, metallics, and shimmers.

I think I like this hand better, because the two lines are more striking and look less messy than the crosses
