Christmas Wrap nail art

Where has 2014 gone? Christmas is already here! It's Christmas Eve in New Zealand so Santa will be here tomorrow. Yay! We've recently got ourselves a new kitten, and she is wreaking havoc on our Christmas tree. It looks seriously dishevelled. Here she is ruining the tree from the inside (but looking super cute while doing it.)

I wanted to save my Christmas nails for a couple days before Christmas so I didn't run out of ideas, and turns out that I only had one idea. Good thing I saved it! I was inspired by some wrapping paper hanging around the house. I started with two coats of a silver foil base. Delush Polish - Fairest of Them All was perfect. It's almost a one-coater. Once this was dry I placed striping tape on top and simply alternated my stripes between the beautiful green (Smitten Polish - Enchanted Forest) and the red (Zoya - Elisa). 

On the whole, I'm happy with this one! Simply but effective. I did my mum's nails and my sister's too with similar striping techniques, and did some wee Christmas trees on my sister's too.
