Red and Black Chevrons

I have done some nail art again! Yayyyy!

Admittedly, not freehand, but still counts, right? I reckon. I used nail vinyls for zig zags.

Initially I had no idea what I was going to put on top of my red base of Zoya - Elisa but when I consulted the family we decided it would either be gold, black, or green! Gold and green seem a bit Christmassy when combined with red, so I went with black. It came out pretty cool! Here's two coats of Elisa on its own. By the way, it's pretty much a colour and formula dupe for OPI - Die Another Day.
Hehe I'd actually already started with the vinyls on my left hand when I took this picture, I'm messy!

On top I put a few "evenly" spaced zig zag vinyls and painted the black over them with Dance Legend Classic 315. This is a thick, crelly (?) black which I'm not entirely sold on. WHY IS IT SO HARD TO FIND A QUICK DRYING, NO-STREAK, CREME, OPAQUE BLACK (or white)!? Anyway, here is the finished product, complete with a few streaky drippy bits from where I didn't quiiite pull the vinyls off at the right angle.

I'm in the kitchen (in shot is the sink, and colander. Some of the best lighting inside!)
Side note: once this bottle of Seche Vite is finished, I will be trying the seemingly Holy Grail that is HK Girl Topcoat.
