The base is 2.5 coats of Nicole by OPI - Southern Charm which seemed like it would be the perfect nude when I held the bottle up to my hands a couple months ago. However, as my photos suggest, it's a shade or two too brown for my current skin tone. Maybe in Summer? Maybe not, too. It's going in the destash pile. I can just never warm to nudes. I'm sooo not a nude polish person. Mannequin hands!
Moving on, to paint the tips I used ancient Sally Hansen French manicure guides which I guess were the ancestors of the nail vinyls lots of people (including me) use for funky designs today. The white is a new addition: Kleancolor - White. This is a thick, almost jelly white. But it's a heap less streaky than my old Sally Hansen - White On. AND it's cruelty free. I'm on the cull, getting rid of a lot of brands who test on animals, or whose parent companies do so. It's hard, man.
Here's my lady-nails!
