Mum's Nails - episode 1

My mum demands that I paint her nails about twice a week. I've decided to share her nails on the blog. They will be under the label "mum's nails". Mum lets me experiment with new techniques, new polishes, and try out things I'm not too sure about yet (like caviar beads). She pretty much lets me loose on her nails "as long as they don't look hideous".

Here are a couple of Mum's manicures over the past week.
The base for this is OPI - Die Another Day, the fabulous red. On her ringfingers Mum has a glitter gradient using OPI - Goldeneye, the fabulous gold. On her left middle finger she had black rhinestones, and on her right pinky she had silver ones. She hated them both, lol. At least I know not to repeat that! And on her right index she had a cute kitty sticker that can be seen in detail in this post.
This is her current mani. She (as well as my sister, and I) is in love with LA Girl - Groupie. It's a bright purple crelly with super fine purple glitter. Amazing. Reminds me of Cadbury bar wrappers! On her index she was my guinea pig for caviar beads! Oh god the mess I made trying this. I received a lot of these for Christmas and have been keen to try them out, but I really have no idea how to do them! I quite like this colour combo on Mum. I did them less than 12 hours ago and she's already lost a few! Oh well. On her pinky is a thin coat of a holographic top coat I bought from Color4Nails Glam Polish - Gliss. It makes any colour holographic! My dream.
