Galaxies... Are freakin hard.

Well I am not happy with these. From far away you get the idea that they're space-ish nails, but get within a metre radius and they just look a bit splodgy. Oh well. As you can tell I started with the thumb. Got all the way through the galaxy, decided it needed stars. I did huge dots :/ then figured out to use my smallest dotter. Trials and tribulations of nail art.

Base for all fingers is OPI - Light My Sapphire. This is a perfect almost-black. It's streaky on the first coat, and pools in my cuticles, but two coats makes it fabulous. I used too many polishes to remember them all, but I know I used OPI - Did It On Em, I Don't Give a Rotter-dam, and Suzi Says Feng Shui. I think I used Star Kin - RS, Ascend, and Twilight. I sponged all the colours on, starting with the lightest. 

My dad is a space nut, so the whole time he was criticising my nails saying they don't look legit. But in the end he told me "They have to go on Facebook!" I think that's approval. 

Since they are so time consuming I decided to just do easy stripes on my right hand. It's just a thicker coat of OPI - Solitaire. I think these look really chic! I dig them.
