OPI Liquid Sand - Vesper

Life Pharmacy is doing an OPI BOGOF! I left it far too late and when I went there were no polishes that I wanted left. The majority of what was left were coppery bronzes, and light pinks. A few purples and gorgeous blues, but I have very similar shades to those already, so I gave them a miss. I bought Vesper and Did It On 'Em. Woo!

I really dig the textured trend, and I already own Can't Let Go, Get Your Number, and What Wizardry is This? So I was pretty excited when I saw the very last Vesper on the shelf!

What a let down. I guess the only liquid sands I own are packed with glitter, so they look a lot different to this polish. Vesper has matte black glitter scattered through it, but you can't see it at all when the polish is opaque. Here's one coat to show the glitter.
This is obviously not opaque - got some serious VNL going on. When it's opaque, Vesper is almost black. Today (24 hours after finished mani) the mani looks a lot more purple, and therefore I like it a lot more. It's still so disappointing though. I'm holding out for Jinx. Here's the opaque swatch. You can see a very deep purple tinge, but I think that was the yellow light I had my hand under. It looked black on my nails yesterday. Blah. This would be so much nicer if it had a sparkle to it.
